Civil Rights Legal Program

CCDC works with the Legislative Branch to create laws (or amend laws or stop bad laws from being passed) and with the Executive Branch to implement laws through work on regulations, programs, and policies. However, when we need to enforce our laws, our Legal Program works through the Judicial Branch of Government. Our Legal Program uses litigation to enforce civil rights law. We file class action lawsuits, as well as individual cases, preferring cases that have the potential for a larger impact.

The CCDC Legal Program brings lawsuits on behalf of CCDC and its members to enforce the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and other statutes that protect the civil rights of persons with disabilities.

If you need help enforcing the ADA and other statutes that protect civil rights as a person with disabilities in Colorado, you need not look any further. The CCDC Legal Program chooses cases that have the most impact related to securing equal access to justice for people with disabilities. Our clients could not pursue equal justice in Colorado without this program.
